Key Facts
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Me.), coming out of a meeting with the group, told Forbes there is “a framework of an agreement,” adding that while there are still “details to work out,” she is “optimistic we’ve had a breakthrough.”
Collins confirmed that the senators have been invited to brief Biden at the White House and said it is “important” a deal is struck before the Senate breaks for recess on Thursday.
Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Mitt Romney (R-Utah) told reporters the framework is just under $1 trillion over five years with $579 billion in new spending, around what the group initially proposed.
The senators also said the plan is fully funded for after pay-fors became a key sticking point in negotiations, but the payment structure remains unclear.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement the group “made progress towards an outline of a potential agreement,” confirming the Thursday briefing.

This means the Dems will be able to use reconciliation to get the rest if the crazy shite they are planning.
Way to go GOP.
Too bad you couldn't muster support for Trump's infrastructure plans.

Establishment Republicans-aka RINOs. Have been very much part of the problem these past 2-3 decades and finally exposed for who they are over these past 5 years.

And after 5 years, we won't notice any real changes to our infrastructure. Just money being thrown into a pit.
Posted on 6/23/21 at 9:54 pm to Seldom Seen
I don’t see any republicans named there.

Democrats have the squad and Republicans have the usual suspects. They all suck.
