Saban's never retiring. Gonna be crapping on himself on the sidelines like Joe Pa.

I’d love for you to rank what you think a top 10 looks like

As in basketball, the actual stadium amenities and "niceness" are irrelevant to coaches and players. They aren't sitting in the suites or enjoying the food.
The practice fields, locker rooms, etc., are much more of a factor.
No recruit is going to tour Alex Box, and then choose another school because the luxury box situation may not be up to par.
Bingo.
What the coach cares about is the amenities and faculties for the players, which are still at top in the nation. Lsu upgraded this area after Paul flirted with leaving for Texas. LSU is in great shape there.
The coach doesn’t care if fans down the third base line are sitting in chair back or bleacher seats. What they care about is that there are 10,000 people in those seats for a big SEC series.
Alex Box as a fan experience has fallen a bit as compared to other SEC schools, but as for what a coach can use for his players and future recruits, that’s not a problem at all.

Passionate fan base??????
Sure until you don’t do well and the fan base wants you fired right now because you are not doing what Skip did.
and that differs from other schools and other sports how exactly?
I'm sure that first 9-3 post Saban season will be shrugged off at Bama

Tennessee is going to pay Vitello 2.5 million, commit 40 million to facilities and be totally cool with him coming in 4th in his division 3 years in a row and not making the CWS.
LSU is unreasonable to expect Paul to make the CWS so often. Who could make 4 CWS in the past 10 years? Besides, Arkansas, Miss State, Vanderbilt, Florida, UVA, TCU, Texas Tech, Texas and Florida State.

Ok but we are talking baseball not football….

Pressure
Fan expectations are outrageous at LSU. They’ll treat you like a king for a while, but you better win multiple national championships or they’ll want you fired. Its just like Kentucky basketball. Both have only won 1 national championship in the past 20 years, but fans get pissed off if you don’t win one every year. No other college baseball team is like that.
This is the equivalent of saying a CEO for a company barely in the Fortune 500 would not take an opportunity at a Fortune 100 company because the stakeholders would demand too much from them. sure, there are some people that are complacent and would prefer to stay in their comfort zone while keeping their base happy with the lowered expectations. But, most people in these positions will want the opportunity to further advance themselves (especially when they are younger, compared to their counterparts)

then what is your point?
The fans aren't passionate because they want to fire the coach if we don;t win the CWS every other year? Are you saying that its a negative that would cause a top coach to not want to come here? Its called an analogy passionate fans have outsized expectations regardless of sport, that's part of what them top jobs

An obviously underwhelming LSU team just reached a Super Regional. It's more than appealing enough.

Yeah.......that’s exactly what you get with a passionate fan base.

Facilities and you mention Alex Box?
The players and the coaches don't give a shite about how comfortable the fans are in their Stadium as long as they show up. What they care about are the practice and training facilities and other support for the players and coaches directly. The only thing they might care about in regards to the stadium may be expanding the seating capacity if they're filling up.
Pressure? Would you want a coach anyway that's afraid of the pressure? We just got rid of one. Winners aren't afraid of pressure. They're motivated internally far more than any external pressures could ever apply to them. Sometimes when they get older the pressure starts to bother them because they become apathetic and are no longer hungry so when the internal fire dies out they finally start to notice the fire burning around them.CPM was burned out. This is actually one of my concerns with Corbin. He's getting older. How much does he have left in the tank?
One of the biggest and most consistent factors for any coach at any college program is, "how dedicated is the school and the fans to the program?"
There are only two college baseball programs in the entire country that I can think right now that are as dedicated to their respective programs from both the school and the fans.
Arkansas.
Mississippi State.
And LSU is greater than both of them in that regard, even if only slightly.
