That might be the craziest sports statistic of all time - glad I wasn’t watching

Remember how people were arguing it shouldn't matter who the ball went off last because they didn't mean for it to go out

I love SVP but his post game stuff about “it’s too important not to get right” was frustrating to listen to

First off, some things aren’t that important to get right. At some point you just have to let them play. Otherwise you’re gonna have to review every single possession in the playoffs because it’s “too important”.

Secondly, if it’s too important not to get right, then why do we allow refs to take over games with completely inconsistent calls and constant stoppages on tick tack calls? Seems weird to be like “oh we’re cool with the refs doing what the hellthey want for 46 minutes, but after that we really gotta take a look under the hood”

That Booker one is so shitty. As JVG said on the broadcast, you could review every single poke out and have something like that happen if you slow mo the video enough times. It’s a slap in the face to the meaning of the rule and just straight common sense.

Replay to an extent makes sense in football. There’s already a stoppage every play in the game so there’s a natural pause to check things out to get them right. Basketball is a constantly moving action sport. Replay completely clogs the game up for mostly minimal impact on the outcome of games. Cut that shite out
