Yup.
Currently doing an entire re-watch of Supernatural, and I've got my wife and 14 year old son into into. Nearly through season 2, so a long way to go.
Also re-watched Justified with both of them recently.
Catching up with Archer as well.

Usually watch an older western - particularly John Wayne.

Don't answer the knock on your door, it's the re-education camp foot soldiers.

Yep. Boomer here and I watch a lot of the older 60's shows on ME TV and other stations that show them.
The Andy Griffith Show
Car 54 Where Are You
Beverly Hillbillies
I Dream Of Jeanie
Perry Mason
Cheyenne
Laramie
Gunsmoke
Have Gun Will Travel
Wanted Dead Or Alive
Hell, I wish they showed older variety shows and not just "The Carol Burnet Show", "Laugh-In", "The Ed Sullivan Show"
I miss the old music based shows like "Perry Como", "The Andy Williams Show" and other of the same genre.

And we're going more and more to dvd copies to avoid the advertisements that drown current networks.
When I went to school in Germany, the family I lived with in Bavaria avoided TV shows with north German accents. Just sayin' it's not just us.

The last two years I have. frick all that woke shite. I’ve also stopped watching series I halfway enjoyed that started to comply with that nonsense.

Yes.

No. I just enjoy the nostalgia of them.

Absolutely yes, lately I've been watching:
Twilight Zone
Alfred Hitchcock Presents
One Step Beyond
Star Trek TOS
Tales of Tomorrow
Along with a lot of older movies. To be honest to me those old shows have a feel and depth to them that a lot of the newer stuff doesn't. And the fact they don't try to jam politics into every damn thing sure doesn't hurt either

Mary Richards was the best female TV character ever created, and MTM nailed the role. My very first TV crush.

I've been watching a lot of movies from the 70s, 80s, 90s that I missed for whatever reason. Not only are they less heavy handed, they tend to just be better movies to me than the CGI fests of today.

Go back even further to the Dick Van Dyke show...

Very much so. I also enjoy the nostalgia factor of tv from the 70s and 80s. 60s too, even though it was before my time.

Not for only that reason, but it definitely plays a part. So much fake woke crap these days, but the real reason is a lack of quality content. Netflix is content with pushing out waves of mediocre tv that’s always over with after two seasons. Network tv is an even bigger joke (and more woke) than it’s ever been. The golden age of cable tv dramas is clearly over, too. When’s the last time USA, TNT, or AMC had a “must watch” drama? FX is still trying, but even with the epic success of Dave, the network still feels like a shell of its former self. HBO still hasn’t recovered from the ending of Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley, especially with Westworld complete falling apart. Comedy central has clearly given up on producing original content. History channel is down to just reruns of american pickers, woke retellings of founding fathers, and aliens.
It’s absolutely flabbergasting how we have more content at our fingertips than ever before, yet so few new movies and series worth watching.
So, I keep going back to some of my favorites from the 2000’s and early 2010’s like Psych, Friday Night Lights, Community, Parks & Rec, Chuck, Scrubs, American Dad, Malcom in the Middle, Man Seeking Woman, that 70’s show, 24, Turn, Mad Men, Curb, Eastbound & Down, Flight of the Conchords, etc.
I think the next round of shows I’m going to try are:
Star Wars Rebels
The Soprano’s
The Wire
Justified
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
Cowboy Bebop
As for current shows, I’m fond of the following:
The Goldbergs
The Mandalorian
Loki
Wanda/Vision
The Witcher
Kobra Kai
Dave
Brooklyn 99 (which I heard they’re ending for woke reasons)
Archer
Lucifer

Old TV westerns are almost all I watch these days
I notice a few other fans in this thread. Feel free to drop by the TV Western thread and let us know what you're watching

There was always some politics or religion, but you're right that it has gotten REALLY bad.
My wife is a huge Grey's Anatomy fan and she hasn't watched this season at all. We suffered through The Rookie this year and the episodes were good when they got away from the excessive politics.
That said, you don't have to go that far back. We've been watching Grimm because I never saw it the first time around, and I love that show.
