My point is Gio batting is Junior College level. His arm from the outfield is high school level. His only major asset is his speed. He would not start on most competitive division 1 programs. Players like him are exactly the reason LSU baseball has fallen off. The other players you mentioned were freshman and have time to develop. I’m sorry if LSU is to get better players like Gio need to be reserve players at best! And saying he was one our best hitters when healthy doesn’t mean too much.

Your point is fricking retarded.
He hit 0.308 this year after dealing with an injury since game 2.
He was our leading hitter at 0.351 last year before the season got cancelled.

Finished as LSU’s leading hitter in 2020, batting .351 (13-for-37) with two doubles, one triple, four RBI, nine runs and five stolen bases … played in 13 games with 12 starts in center field … batted .471 (8-for-17) during LSU’s five-game win streak to end the season and raised his cumulative batting average from .261 to .351 in the five-game span … 7-for-11 in three-game series vs. UMass Lowell (March 6-8) with two doubles, one triple, three RBI, two stolen bases and five runs scored.
quote:His speed absolutely is his best asset and it’s what makes him a good CF not his arm.
Played in 53 games (33 starts), batting .275 (38-for-138) with three doubles, one triple, one homer, 15 RBI, 31 runs and six stolen bases … started 17 games at DH, eight in left field, six in center field and two in right field

Gio is fine if your lineup is loaded but if you can upgrade, you can.
