Hell of a hurricane to kill everyone in that town.
That was actually the one part that bothered me. Hurricanes aren't apocalypses even in places like Haiti. This is supposed to be 2050 Bama coast with better buildings and infrastructure than we have now. It's like Hollywood has no clue how bad these things are and just believe everything they see on the Weather channel who loves to play up every storm as if it's the storm of the century and 100s of people have died. In fact, when is the last time a Hurricane killed more than 100 people much less destroyed an entire town to the point of killing everyone?

How do you know the places they were sent?

Reddit probably took stills of each canister and saw when and where they were going.

There was a list that was shown inside the TVA as they watched the timeline start to split. Pops up on their DOS computers.

I have a feeling that this will end with the TVA essentially falling apart, since they are the ones keeping a multiverse from happening.

I think Loki's rant about the timekeepers/TVA having time already mapped out and there being no real free will was kind of setting up the show to prove that that idea is not totally true. Just feels like they are putting things in motion for the TVA being arbiters of everything is not the ideal situation and something will shake that up.

Mobius will also ride a jet-ski at some point.

The true "evil" may be that the Time Keepers no longer truly exist to map things out. That it's all a farce. Would suck for Morbius to accept that.

You are over thinking this. Pompeii had 12000-15000 total citizens and "only" 2000 actually died in the event.

Female Loki didn't target the entire city, just that one store/warehouse that was probably destroyed in the hurricane. Remember the salad bowl analogy?

Not every apocalypse has to be huge.

Two things stood out in the episode

Man, is Owen Wilson good. You forget he can be a competent actor at times with a lot of his role choices, but he is excellent in every scene he has been in.

Whenever they showed the Time Keepers in this episode, it was either zoomed in on the middle guy(Kang?) and panned out, or it was panned out and came in on the middle guy again.

Also his love interest playing a pretty prominent role, in the show already, you've got to figure he shows up at some point.

But I thought the whole point of the "variance energy" was that variance Loki could hide out in those apocalypses because there would be no branch timeline due to everything being wiped out regardless of what happens?

Seems like even in a Katrina-level hurricane there could still be variances and branch timelines because not everything dies.

As much as I've liked the first two episodes, this is why I hate that time travel and timelines have become such a big thing since Endgame. There are just too many holes to poke.

Yeah they do a pretty good job with it but it’s basically impossible to make time travel plots air tight without a lot of shutting your brain off.

For instance the paperwork says Asgardian civilization was totally annihilated when we know some of them escaped and made it to earth.

The salad and Pompeii scenes were hilarious

Sure... but are you positive that Pamela Anderson isn’t a man?

Episode felt like a good crescendo, if they're going to keep these last 4 episodes a tight 45 minutes feel like they're going to start picking up the pace.

Odds lady Loki is working for a larger power, similar to this version's Loki being in cahoots with Thanos?

Rewatching now. The hurricane was a class ten apocalypse and had 10,000 plus dead.

Also it was a category EIGHT hurricane so I guess that question is thoroughly answered.
