Is 8 years at a school with no trips to Omaha significantly better?

ETA: trying to nail down this context thing

I’d let josh and ell coach. I’d just collect checks, maybe do some cruiting.

The context with Bianco is that he’s only been to the CWS once in a million years

Who was Bianco’s hitting coach the one year Ole Miss made it to Omaha?

Depends. Was the same coach there for the prior 13 years too? Where was the program before then?

You give us morgan, crews, and this lineup next year, and we’ll host a regional

To be fair, he has to recruit at a second tier school in a state where he’s no better than the 2nd best program and he’s surrounded by powerhouse programs.
.

And he’s brought in several top 10 classes. In 16 and 19 he had the #2 class in the country. Enough with the bad news bears talking point. Truth of the matter is, Bianco has had better baseball talent than just about every college baseball program in the country.

No, the coach has been at this school 8 years now. Formidable program that had fallen off a bit. He’s done a good job getting them back to being competitive but can’t seem to get out of a super regional

Certainly they’d had more success prior to his arrival than ole miss ever had pre bianco. Just for context

He’s won 3 regionals in those 8 years. They only won 2 regionals the 13 years prior. Sounds like he’s done better than the previous leadership.

Not at all. Just using that same standard that you just used ?

ETA: I don’t want bianco. Just playing devils advocate.

Not moving goal posts. Why does the same standard you chose to use to highlight one candidates success not apply to the other?

Looks like in his 21 years he’s only made 7 supers. I didn’t realize he’d lost that many regionals. Damn.

Bianco built a great program. Awesome.

It was built and established 15 years ago. So for the last 15 years Bianco has been coaching at a Top 15-20 program in the country and has made it to Omaha once.

My standard was the last 21 years. Ole Miss has been stagnant the entire time Bianco has been there. Godwin seems to have ECU moving to in the right directions. He’s certainly winning regionals at a higher clip than both his predecessor and Bianco.

Marginally better clip through a much shorter period of time proportionally speaking and still the outcome is no better.

I think Godwin would do alright if you’re content with supers and maybe an occasional trip to Omaha.

I don’t think he’d do any better than what he’s shown himself to be just like I don’t think bianco would magically do better because he has an LSU jersey on

At least we don’t have to worry about getting to Omaha all the time and only winning one championship when we probably should’ve won more.

Don’t think that’ll be a complaint with either candidate so I guess the board can celebrate that
