We can hit this kid from Tennessee. Marceaux has less than half the ERA of this kid from UT. We just need a little offense behind Marceaux. This decision doesn’t make sense let’s win game 1.

What do you want us to do to help you understand?

Maybe he needs the extra rest? Besides sundays fame is the most important of the season. Your either playing for you life or your playing to sweep

How much rest does he need? I don’t like this move

I sure have and he’s doing well but he’s no Marceaux so you still haven’t found a good explanation for this move.

It says to give him one more days rest since he threw a good bit that last game. Apparently he wants to go, but that may be more emotion than feel. I’m sure Paul spoke to him and didn’t just do it. I didn’t think we’d get this far so I’m not questioning anything at this point.

Imagine if Hilliard gives you 5 strong and you turn it over to Coleman and Fontenot to seal the win. Then you gotta feel real good about a well rested marceaux in game 2

So if we lose Saturday I’m coming back to this thread. We win and it’s a great move

Perhaps because Marceaux threw 147 pitches in two outings over 4 days.

If we lose you have your best pitcher on the mound in a must win situation

I want to say Hilliard came in in relief the first or second game of the Tenn series and gave them 3-4 innings and only gave up 1 or 2 hits. One was a bomb, but other than that I want to say he did a pretty good job.

Don't need one. We can win behind Hilliard. Game one you go Hilliard and Coleman, that way when you win you give the ball to Marceaux on Sunday to get you to Omaha.

Pretty easy play to me. I'd make the same move.

Rest needed. Nothing to do with matchup, etc.
He last pitched on 2 days rest and pitched 2+ intense innings.
If he pitched on Sat he would be going on 4 days rest after the above extra work.
It is the right call to give him his 5 days before sending him back out there.

Marceaux on Saturday is right

You just can’t risk not having Labas start a game in this super regional. Kinda shocked that’s the route they want to take

He’s our number 2 sp right now and Landon threw 50 pitches on Monday and 100 pitches Friday and Hillard threw 10 pitches Monday and 70 pitches saturday

LSU is playing with house money at this point. I love the move, and I think the team will respond and win game 1.

We have Hilliard/Coleman/Edwards ready to shut Tennessee down tomorrow and Marceaux/Fontenot to close it out on Sunday.

Don't sweat it. You will see Labas.
