Can we at least admit the LSU baseball program is who we thought they were?

The big names that have been tied to this coaching search:
-3 time national title winning coach
-The current national title winning coach
-Another national champion coach who’s been to CWS 7 of last 10 years

So um, yeah. LSU baseball is the elite of college baseball.

That and you’re inheriting a young squad with talent.

It’s a pretty rare instance you can walk into a top 3 job that needs more tweaking than rebuilding

Texas was tied to a lot of big names too and they ended up with Tulane’s coach. Having “leaked reports” does not mean there is serious interest on either side.

You might want to wait until the hire is made

ULL can extend offers to these 3 coaches. That doesn’t mean a damn thing

If LSU weren't in BR I'd agree. BR is quckly becoming Jackson, MS

Although a lot of the SEC is catching up, very few, if any schools have the fan interest that LSU has in baseball. MAYBE, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss. St. are in that category. But that's it.

That fan intertest leads to a BIG commitment from the school in terms of resources allocated to what is to 99% of the country a "minor sport". If you're profession is in college baseball this is one of, maybe THE job you put at the top of your list.

I don't care if you are a doctor, astronaut, stripper, or burger flipper. When the potential employer who is willing to pay the MOST in market has a job opening EVERYONE who is worth a damn reaches out

Yep and anyone that turns down the job because of the pressure (us retards) is a pussy that we don't want anyway.

We even have guys wanting to come out of retirement for this job. Unfortunately, that is the problem. We have so, so many good candidates that it’s impossible for everyone to agree on one. This is gonna be a really tough search.
