Stout, if he has formed his company as an LLC, doesn't he have to have a business or contractors license to do this?
And his reluctance to provide it seems suspicious as well.

He was saying that his Facebook profile picture is a squirrel picture. But here you go. Anything for the disabled.

The rule of thumb is if the new layer of concrete is going to be less than 3 inches thick then it would need a bonding agent between the old and new. I don't see that Trevor added any primer to the old slab. It doesn't even look like he bothered to pressure wash it which would need to be done to add a primer. You would have had trouble with that eventually.
We really need to be friends.

The "chemicals in there to stop harding" [sic] is called set retarder isn't it? Maybe Trevor got a little retarder in his Yeti before he sent those messages

No. Anyone can form a LLC and insurance isn’t a requirement to do it, but he is required to at least register as a contractor with the board and to do that, he’d be required to carry insurance and show proof of it.
I don’t find any Trevor, Kin’s, etc ever registered with the Board for Contractors.

That's the answer I was looking for. Thanks.

All are different. You can register as an LLC with the state easily but there are more steps than that involved.
Per the Secretary of State here are all of the steps to be fully licensed to do business.
A lot of people get the LLC and skip the rest.
Also, forming an LLC doesn't mean he obtained insurance and went through the LA Contractors Board to obtain a Residential license or at the very least the Home Improvement Registration which allows him to do jobs between $7500 and $75,000. He can do jobs less than that without anything but will be required to get a Residential license on anything over.

Yea during the Summer you can add an agent to slow the curing down. Fly ash, which a lot of places will add if you don't tell them you want pure concrete, will also slow it down some but nothing will allow it to sit for 4 hours in June in Louisiana.
I think Trevor got his retarding agent genectically.

Got it. I think we may be understanding why he was reluctant to provide his license info to the homeowner now. Thanks Stout

So what’s up either the ‘weird puppet guy’ comment?
Caveman, are you into puppets of some sort?
I bet your wife is pissed off if she’s physically ill over this. Nothing quite like an angry woman.

He’s got 3-4,frickings left in his “company” before the jig is up. Last, and final home we built in 2015 required 170 yards of concrete- all done by Hispanic labor. They went on to do my brick. They were awesome. His posts clearly ID what you’re dealing with. Concrete guys never had a chance to do you a good job. I understand the desire to be trusting but unfortunately you can’t be. Dude is a professor in your process of paying for an education. Shite will follow him - karma is sharpening her knife. Frick him. Move on.

There is no way that the 2” thick concrete overlay simply poured on top of the old slab would have bonded to the old concrete. The welded wire fabric laying on top of the old slab wasn’t going to do crap. The new concrete would have cracked and spalled in no time.
The same can be said for the welded wire fabric laying on the ground for the new addition. It would have not added any structural integrity nor prevented any cracking..

Agreed. It would have laid on the bottom doing nothing. No room to even put stands on it or pull it up to the center as they poured. I bet Trevor also tried to save a few bucks and didn't even have the concrete company add fiber to the mix.

Blood from a stone. I can promise old Trevor doesn’t have a pot to piss in and the money this homeowner gave him was gone within 48 hours.
