He became the second man ever to clear 20 feet. Is he the best athlete to come out of LSU?

As far as pure athleticism in their specialty, JuVaughn Harrison is right up there.

He may very well be. You'd have to consider athletes from LSU who became Top 3 in their specialty, assuming Mondo continues his current track.

Well since he's only the second person ever to clear that height, I'd think you'd have to consider what LSU athletes ended up being Top 2 or 3 ever in their specialty. Is there anyone else T&F wise?

Shaq comes to mind as an athlete who COULD be considered Top 3 all-time in his position as an NBA center. Alan Faneca maybe Top 3 NFL Guard?

I guess we might have to see where Alex Bregman ends up at the end of his career. Top 3 3B all-time could be a mighty hill to climb.

Xavier Carter takes that title, by far. Mondo may have the WR in his event, albeit a super high skill event, but X-Man killed across all sprints. Take a look at his times:

60m 6.74, 2005
100m 10.00, 2008
200m 19.63 2nd fastest ever in the world, at the time, 2006
400m 44.53 2006
4x400m 2:59.59 (split 44.0) Collegiate Record at the time, 2005

2006 NCAA Championships, he did 9 races in 4 days, which is WILD!

The most impressive thing about those times is that you generally don't have a runner go 100/200/400. You generally have 100/200 or 400 only. He was incredible through all 3 sprint events. Sucks that he got in trouble with the law.
