Blackstone griddles?

Anyone have any experiences with Blackstone or any other outdoor griddles? Positive or negative. I am thinking of buying one.

Google "Blackstone Tigerdroppings" and you'll get a full page of threads on this.

I have the Cuisineart XL and it’s nice. Sometimes I wish I had the backstop that comes with the other more common griddles, but the surface area and ability to move around it are what makes it fun.

I got my MasterBuilt Gravity series because it came with a griddle insert.
I love it and haven't cook breakfast on the weekend on anything else. There is something special about a quiet morning with a cup of coffee and cooking bacon, eggs, hash browns, and biscuits on a hot griddle.
I've also cooked wings and smash burgers that came out great. I'm going to give fried rice a whirl next. Eventually I'll try philly cheese steak.

Not a black stone but I have a griddle top. Made the move last year and haven’t looked back. Can cook so many more things now and big quantities.
Thought I’d miss the grate/direct heat but haven’t really. Steaks are actually incredible too. Get it super hot, get a very nice sear.

I bought the Camp Chef 600 since it can be used as a griddle and a grill. It comes with heat deflector shields, grill grates and the griddle sits on top. I chose it over the Blackstone since it can do both. And just as important, got it delivered with tax for $177 a couple of years ago. Camping World had a sale that I saw on slickdeals and I couldn't pass it up.

We have the 28" Blackstone and I have to say I am a little disappointed . Sticking in spots although they say I didn't season correctly. Maybe - may go back and redo that. Biggest issue to me though is uneven heat, hot and cold spots on the cooktop. I checked temps and was seeing 100 degree differences within a few inches of area. Also, a cold strip along front edge about 3-4" wide due to location of burners. Maybe other models or brands would be better but unimpressed so far, although it is handy at times.

I have a gas Webber Genesis 3 burner grill and didn’t have room for a separate griddle. So I bought the full size Little Griddle and it fits perfectly directly in top of my grates. Uses the fire from the Webber to heat the griddle. I had to put some small pieces of wood under my grill to creat a slight back to front slope so the grease would run into the grease tray. Overall been pretty happy with it.

I have the 17” combo with the fryer on the side. Mostly use it as a side burner. I wanted the 22” version but around Christmas they were hard to find in stock. Wife showed me Walmart had the combo in stock so went with that. Haven’t built a table/stand for it yet but that’s in the works. It is light enough to just pick up and move around when we cook on it now. We’ll probably take it camping with us because of that.

I’m sure they are fine but they are the cool new toy everyone has to tell you they bought.

Hah this is me right now and I’ll be making a thread soon on my Teppanyaki cook on it today. I love this thing!

I have a blackstone 36”. Looking back I would’ve gotten the 24”. But I love it. I refuse to cook a burger on anything else. The only thing I don’t love is clean up. Get done grilling you go inside and eat and don’t worry about the grill until the next use, but with the griddle you have to go outside and clean it when you’re done eating. Lazy complaint but literally the only complaint I have.

I bought the large one before Thanksgiving. My wife and I cook a good bit and I thought it might be fun for poolside . (We had just inked a pool construction contract )
I use the hell out of that thing. I’m surprised how frequently on the weekends it’s used.
Bacon - can cook a full pack in 10 minutes and not stink up the house.
Pancakes- whole batch for the family at once
Crumpets- awesome yeasty and an addictive “squidgy “ texture
Fajitas
Homemade tortillas
Burgers galore
Steamed /grilled veggies
Huge batch of Chinese dumplings...
The cool thing is how solid it performs. It has enough horsepower to keep things sizzling and browning but you have to try very hard to burn anything. I was skeptical but I’m sold.
Oh and the pool still isn’t finished
