It was never the masks. Has the OP made that argument before?

It appears masks have only had minimal effect if any

Now if everyone was wearing N95 masks that probably would have been effective. But there weren't enough to go around to make this possible.

Lotta dissonance in this board such as vaccines are going to kill us and trump saved us by inventing it and COVID is fake flu and it’s a weaponized China virus meant to destroy the west.

Not really.
Here’s the general consensus:
China virus is manmade and probably purposely released.
Trump’s Operation Warp Speed directly resulted in the vaccines.
Masks don’t work.
Democrats gladly jumped at the chance to weaponize China Virus.
Red states generally handled their response better than blue states.
The vaccines are giving a large portion of the population confidence to live their lives.
But the vaccines were obviously rushed and (I) am not willing to be a test subject.
People who love the vaccines the most (democrats) should thank Trump.
Fauci is a political POS.

That’s about it.

The left is the side with muddled views.
Masks, jobs, free money, etc.

This "pandemic" has been going on for much longer than that some say as early as 2019.

The strides in treatments and therapeutics have come and gone and yes the CFR is mostly flat now as there is only so much you can do.

The overall CFR is not defined by what has happened in the last 8 months alone.

You are being purposefully obtuse to try and prove your feeble argument.

Operation Warp Speed was exactly what needed to be done. Trump got it done.

You do know they changed the PSR testing criteria, right?

I was mentioning it as a point that wasn't an improving metric such as those that I had listed in the OP

Vaccines have had no positive effect on case fatality rates because as you've mentioned there is only so much you can do as far as treatment

I'm not actually disagreeing with you

This board is full of some really dumb people. Trump has turned them into idiots.

"Trump made it possible to have the vaccine so early, he cut through the red tape, but I'm not getting it because it's too early and not tested."

"The vaccine is working, but we have reached herd immunity." we are getting closer to herd immunity because of the vaccine.

If Trump was in office and telling you to get the vaccine, you guys would be the ones saying to get it and the Dems would be saying no.

If you got the vaccine why do you care if I do or not? I mean, it’s super duper safe isn’t it?

Exactly. Your thread is done.
He said "no data out there that suggests that the vaccines aren't having a positive impact". That is unequivocally true.

There certainly is data indicating positive impact.

I though it was the triple masks. They sure are working against the flu

Thank God for Trump.

If we listened to liberals it would have taken 5 years to get a vaccine.

Why does anyone care about anything? It's just a topic of conversation.

Fair enough, my apologies.

Just because CFR hasn't improved in the last 8 months doesn't really tell us anything.

Indeed.
Not until recently though. But take care to understand what your arguing. The PSR alterations would yield higher superficial/observed CFRs.

Kamala was the one saying she wouldn't get it.

Trumps stance us that it works, no one should be forced to get it though.

That's a leader.

Now it's also extremely disingenuous to say Trump supporters aren't getting the vaccine. If the election numbers are true. A shite load of Trump haters aren't getting it either.

Plus I know several Trump voters that got the vaccine and a couple of jo Jurgenson voters.

I know Biden voters that haven't gotten it yet.

The fact that you and millions of other people believe that

A. This virus was as deadly as the plague &

B. A vaccine that was developed in less than a year is what saved this world

Is more concerning than this whole fabricated crisis.

The facts are that the virus has an extremely high rate of recovery and very low fatality rate. Majority of those who died from the virus had other underlying conditions and i have yet to see data suggesting that their deaths were strictly from Covid. I’d be willing to bet the number of people they say died from Covid is actually much less than reported.

Sure Covid may have been a factor for some of these deaths, but it’s the same thing when older people get the flu then die from pneumonia.

How the people of this country hang on to every word our government and media feed them is unbelievable to me. They are caught lying every day and still we have millions of sheep who blindly follow their direction and instruction. To each his own i guess, but i for one don’t believe a single word they tell me.

CFR is improving. We could pull death to hospitalization to prove it. The problem with reporting CV19 "CFR" is and always has been the degree (likely extensive) of case undercount yielding inaccurate reporting.

It has certainly had a positive impact

But most countries have vaccination levels much much lower than the U.S. and as a result are having prolonged problems

Why don’t you apply that same ethos to people who refuse to prostrate themselves before the calls for mass vaccinations for a virus in which the vast majority of the populace have a 99.9% +/- survival rate?
