Maybe someone can correct me on this, but why in the world, when Storz's arm problems kept off the mound, did Mainieri not use him as a hitter. My recollection is that he was also considered a great power hitter in high school. He is still on scholarship and now playing tight end for the Tigers. WTF! He played OF and first base in HS when he wasn't on the mound! Does anyone know if Mainieri considered using him outside of pitching?

You do realize that 100% of our pitchers were probably also the best hitters/fielders on their team in high school also right?

With our history of hitting coaching blunders he probably wouldn’t have done much

Don’t know about Stortz, but running Hampton off was idiotic.

We’re talking about the coach who started a pitcher at 3B aren’t we?

Look, that's too much for Mainierie to swallow. He just dropped that old school facial hair deal after 14 years. Now you want him to look at letting two-way players into the lineup? What, you think some pitcher's gonna step up in a big game and tag one to the wall or something?

Damn, the rant is just too unreasonable.

This was awful to watch. He struck out, had an infield pop-up, etc.
