The documentary on Netflix named Tread is a good watch. Dude was off his rocker obviously but the town and zoning commission pulled some BS moves to try to force him to sell his shop all because of dirty politics.

Still goes on today in America.

Quite the contrary.
He went specifically out of his way to not kill anyone. He just wanted to destroy as MUCH property as possible of those specific people who destroyed his livelihood.
Honestly I would have done the same.

I was gonna say, the NF doc is decent.
He's hailed as a hero by far too many people IMO, because he's clearly fricking insane and is a complete a-hole for what he did...and he put innocent people in danger. But there's no question the small-town dirty politics is definitely to blame as well.

I try not to get bogged down in the whole “right or wrong” thing on this one because it’s just such a damn good story.
It’s more of a folk legend for me. Like a John Henry or Big Bad John

Just finished Tread. Thoroughly enjoyable, answered some questions, and just made the whole thing more real.
