A spokesperson for the local FBI office confirmed to NOLA that agents "conducted law enforcement activity" on the block where the Magnolia Mansion Hotel is located, but declined to provide further details.
Zeton has given campaign donations to candidates from both major parties and has been a fixture at political events down the years.
As reported by NOLA, Zeton has given $15,500 in campaign donations to Louisiana politicians since 2009, with The Magnolia Mansion LLC donating $62,000 over the past few years.
In 2017, Zeton got on stage at the election night party celebrating Democrat LaToya Cantrell's victory in 2017, becoming New Orleans' first female mayor.
Zeton held a boxing championship belt above his head before he was ushered off, reported NOLA.
Cantrell's spokesperson Latonya Norton told WDSU that the mayor "has no comment at this time" when asked about the raid at Zeton's hotel.
Zeton also attended the celebration after Gov. John Bel Edwards won his re-election in 2019.
More recently, Zeton appeared on stage with Troy Carter in April while the Democrat lawmaker was giving his victory speech in the 2nd U.S. congressional district election.
Victoria Coulon, a spokesperson for Carter, told WDSU Investigates that Zeton was "not invited on stage and "crashed" the event. Coulon added that Carter did not take campaign contributions from Zeton during his campaign.

They were just looking for her tax money but didn't find anything.

Dear Little Baby Jesus let this be tied to teedy's crooked arse.

I'm sure all the players know where bodies are buried. Corruption finds a way to be swept under the rug.

So what is he being accused of and what does it have to do with politicians?

That's where my wife and I got married.

A close source told me political corruption was the reason for the raid. Would be great if this somehow ties to Teedy

I know Fouad. Super nice guy. He did have pictures in his office with every shady democrat you can think of. Bill, Hillary, Nagin, Bill Jefferson, etc

All of that text, and they didn’t even say why they arrested him.

Wonder if he has ties to Jason Williams.

Is that against the law?

I mean, he has multiple convictions for fraud and tax evasion. He came here as "Fred the Painter" , except he didn't paint that much and now owns the mansion and several businesses in the quarter. He brings Evander Holyfield around everywhere he goes, since he pays a lot of his child support.
Anyone who knows him will tell you he's very nice and a loyal person. Nonetheless, there's zero chance he is uninvolved in criminal activity with his lifestyle.

So what laws is he accused of breaking?
Posted on 6/3/21 at 10:47 pm to tgrbaitn08
He isn't accused of anything. They merely raided his mansion and walked out with 20 paintings.

So what are we taking about then? Some guy that sends money to political donations to both sides?

Which is what?

This schtick is sort of getting old. A judge found that there was probably evidence of a crime in his mansion and that those paintings were that evidence.
Do we need to break it down further? Or are you gonna continue the derp derp why is there a thread for a full FBI raid derp nonsense?
