If I recall no one bid on the recent leases and the state of Alaska was considering bidding with hopes they could flip the leases later and get royalties....?idk if that was the real scoop????

Alaska was offering very good deals to get you up there drilling ...the pipeline capacity was not being used and if it fell below a specific percent they would not be able to have enough critical amount to flow at all...

I am out of the loop recently so may be out dated now...

I just heard one supermajor is shutting down their drilling department except on domestic area....not sure if that is true either but was told by a person who keeps up with this stuff...
