Quick look at by-state NCAA baseball tourney teams

Prolly missed a few, but surprised by 11 total from NC + VA compared to only 8 from TX + Cali.
North Carolina - 6 teams
Virginia - 5
Florida - 5
Louisiana - 4
California - 4
Texas - 4
Mississippi - 3
Alabama - 3
Connecticut - 3
Arizona -3
New Jersey - 2
South Carolina - 2

Virginia having 5 is sad because this isn't a baseball state, especially at the high school level

North Carolina probably has the most or one of the most every year.

I’d disagree with this statement. There are some very good ball players that have come out of the state. David Wright, Verlander, Zimmerman, the Uptons, The high schools in Northern Virginia, Hampton Roads and the Richmond area have some strong teams with a good youth feeder system.
With the exception of UVA who can recruit nationally, most teams have 50-60% of their roster from VA and then they recruit NJ and Pennsylvania well.

Thanks for putting in the work. But my OCD is screaming at you for taking the time to tally 52 schools and leave off the final 12. What the hell is the matter with you!?
