We don’t do many chains, as few exist in our immediate vicinity. But I make an annual trip out to the sticks to find a Texas Roadhouse annually.

In fact such a good deal that it just doesn't add up.

I've actually viewed the part of their website that talks about the philosophy/source(s) of their seafood and it's a bit fluffed and vague. But I want to believe.....

We don't either very often because I'd have to drive by a number of local places to go to one.

But every once in a while I'll get an email with some kind of special and we'll go. I almost went to get burgers at Sullivans for lunch today because they were $10.

That's a Dallas Chain right? LOVE that place but didn't know there were any locations outside of DFW.

Full disclosure, I'm not a food snob. I'll crush some Waffle House too along with a higher end local place.

I took my mom to Golden Corral for Mother's Day.

Fancy places give me the heebie jeebies. Fanciest I'll go is Ruth's Chris and Ruffino's in Baton Rouge. I don't want someone to tell me I have to wear a jacket to eat there.

We are ranking chains, not comparing them to the top local restaurants.

I mean there are top proctologists too even though we probably aren't going to love having the camera up the chute from any of them

I used to travel a lot for work and I did my best to try a lot of well known local places but sometimes I'd be in small town where the only thing open after 7pm during the week was Chili's or Ruby Tuesdays.

Or sometimes I could walk to those places from my hotel and pound beers on the company credit card and not have to drive

That's how I found Stadium View Grill in Green Bay right down the street from Lambeau. It's a Packers Bar obviously.
I was in Green Bay twice in Spring and Summer of 08 and it was about 300 ft from my hotel. Cheap Beers and Good bar food. They knew me. I'd open two tabs, one company and one personal(for the shots and beers after first two).
