Dude that is quite a drive. You better not be F-ing with me haha.
I guess I'll go there this weekend. I'm having chinese everynight this week, one from every place.

Hunan is ok.. I would prefer Five Happiness or Trey Yeun. Im going to be in SF in 2 weeks so I will get some good stuf there.

Hunan is the best in Baton Rouge. Trey Yuen in Mandeville is the best in Louisiana. Hunan is definately worth the drive to Sherwood Forest

pho quynh.
or little saigon.
both are decent.
duang tawan on sherwood kicks thai kitchen's arse.
and the dim sum place on del court is very good.
the plate lunch at chinese inn is good sometimes, but is somewhat inconsistent.
the new japanese buffet on sherwood is terrible.
the great wall is terrible.
all buffets are pretty much terrible.
you're essentially eating golden corral quality chinese food.
and if anyone in this thread tries to call pf chang's asian food they're getting a chopstick in the eye.

i like the buffets when im trying to gain weight though. quality of the food comes second at that point. its all about the calories.
nagoya was okay for a buffet the pineapple sweet rice kicked arse though.
ill try that other thai place on sherwood next time im in town.

+1
Asian food dies a quick and horrible death on a steam table. Those mega-buffets are mega-mediocre.
Taste of Asia is pretty good, especially the soups.

IMO there is no better Chinese in BR than Hunan on Sherwoood. Try the fresh lobster with black bean sauce. Good stuff.
Credit goes to China Bear on Perkins for being open thirty minutes before curfew and making the best mu shu beef ever. Thank you!

Hunan has slipped horribly in recent years, IMO. It isn't what it used to be.

to answer a question, yes, the bay leaf indian is superb.

It's honestly pretty average fare, but the portions are good, the price is right, and the staff is courteous.

I haven't even been down Sherwood since the storm, so I have no idea. I've been sticking pretty close to home lately. Sorry for the no help.

Oriental Pearl at corner of Sherwood and Coursey next to subway.

Panda Bear is by far the best of the picture menu mafia places.
Not that any are great though.
