Staying at the Grand in August and playing one day. Which course should I play, Dogwood or Azalea?

It's been many years since I stayed there and played both a few times each. I preferred the Azalea back then but not sure what they are like today. Planning to go back for a few days in the fall.

They are both excellent courses, can't go wrong with either.

I played Azalea back in February. It was 39 degrees and raining the day I played, but the greens were some of the best I've putted in years. I played both the Preserve and Fallen Oak a few weeks later, and the greens at the Grand were better than both of those courses. Pretty sure Azalea is considered the better course than Dogwood, but I've never played Dogwood.

They’re both nice, but I always drive down the rode to Rock Creek.

Been a member at Lakewood for a year or so. Both courses are In great shape. Greens still a little firmer on azalea because they were redone a year after dogwood. Better golfers tend to prefer Azalea. It’s a little longer but really good. Dogwood also good though. Holes 2-4 on dogwood run back toward the grand and are really good looking setups.

Can’t go wrong with either! I would not recommend adding Rock Creek to your schedule. Not near the same conditions.

I will be there in August. Just curious, did you make your golf reservations already?

For those that have been there, how far out should I reserve? Tee times hard to get?
