Is Ruffalo the reason we get no new Hulk movie?

He is pretty unlikable as Banner
Norton surely would have warranted a couple more.
May have even gotten Planet Hulk. . .instead of the Ragnarok nod to it

I believe Hulk is one of those weird properties like Spider-Man where Marvel can distribute movies with Hulk in it but not a movie with Hulk in the title.
Hulk doesn’t have the same draw as Spider-Man to make it worth the rigamaroll of working with Sony.

I'm not sure I want to see a Professor Hulk movie. He was kind of annoying in End Game. Plus, like you mentioned, Ruffalo is terrible. One of the few (along with Larson) less than stellar castings.

The solo Hulk movies haven't done well at the box office. Norton's film only made 250 mil WW

99% of celebrities aren't going to align with conservative values, so unless a person is willing to swear off practically all of pop culture, you've gotta choose your battles when it comes to calling for entertainment boycotts over a given celeb's political leanings.

Not sure on Ruffalo but there are certainly actors here that get an undeserving amount of hate for being outspoken

This is a sterling example. Chris Evans is a seething lib, and I couldn't cast a better Captain America if my life depended on it. He's still my favorite Avenger and I doubt anyone will ever supplant him as such in my book.

Hulk standalone films just don't vibe all that well. But I will say that I very much enjoyed The Incredible Hulk. I get why most people don't flock to the theater specifically for the Hulk though. He's too OP and one dimensional to solo carry a flick. The entire movie is spent trying to prevent Banner from turning into the Hulk but the movie goer wants nothing but the Hulk being the Hulk and smashing things.
I think the build of the character throughout the MCU was perfect until the 5 year gap that merged Banner/Hulk into what we got in Endgame. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. I'd prefer a Hulk similar to Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.. He's got more grit and communicates coherently but he's not a nerd/Professor Hulk.

Eric Bana was the best Bruce Banner, that is my hill to die on.
I would throw Bill Bixby in there but he was David Banner so idk if it counts.

The top 5-10 cringe lines in the MCU are all Ruffalo in the Hulkbuster suit in Infinity War.

Sounds like an issue with the writing team, not Ruffalo.
