Texas allows it. I never understood what the big deal is. If it is raining where you can barely see that's the only way you are seeing a car in front of you. When I see it on the road during storms I slow down some. If I don't catch the lights it obviously means they aren't stopped.

It can be an optical illusion in heavy rain. People see blinking lights and think the car is stalled or broke down. Morons also use flashers when the weather is perfect if they have brake lights or other lights out as if it exempts them from any and all illegal equipment violations.

It’s very much a big deal. Last night on the way home from work the idiot in the lane next had his hazards on. He then switched lanes and got in front of me but had he used his blinker I would have slowed down to give enough room to merge. Because I that I gave him brights in his back windshield. It’s just common courtesy.

When the hazards are on in the rain, in the dark, you can't clearly see brake lights and you have made your turn signals useless. Seeing if someone is slowing down and if they are turning is important, flashing lights to show you don't have two brains cells to rub together is not.

You do understand your car has lights other than the hazard lights, right?

bullshite. I can see steady tail lights. The flashing detracts from noticing brake light quickly. The really bright ones are problems for the eyes when it is dark.

Huh? You do realize when your headlights are on, your rear lights illuminate as well, right? Have you never been behind someone at night? They have lights in the back.. not just when braking.

If that's the only way, then I'll take the option of having the lights on continuously.............which is why it is a law
