Thanks, Paul. This is LSU baseball.

Well it was the #1 team in the country

And that IS baseball
I mean it’s mostly luck

frick that. Who cares if it’s the undefeated #1 team in the country. Rooting to not get swept is fricking pathetic
Seeing our fans roar when we didn’t get swept is a low

Such surly fans.
Always finding the cloud in front of every silver lining.

I agree. Expecting to compete for championships every year isn’t realistic
If we finish really strong we can make the sec tournament. Not bad for a young team battling injuries and the trauma of covid
ETA: sarcasm

You’re the guy who thinks we should never lose a game, ever.

Marceaux is a better pitcher than their Friday guy. If we could have mustered some runs in the first 6 innings, Friday could have ended a lot different than it did. Once they go to their closer with a lead, they are hard to beat. Labas obviously didn't have his best start Saturday. I thought going in we could have taken this series. That didn't work out, but not getting swept is a big deal for a team scratching to get into the regionals.

That's our identity in baseball. Somewhere along the years, Paul lost that. Even Smoke got that, and had us there. Paul snipped the balls off this program. And now we're just joyful to not get swept...
"Golly gee, that's just baseball man!"
frick that.

And???? We used to have swagger. There was a time when WE expected to be the #1 team in the country.

Not a single person here doesn't want to compete for championships every year. Every single LSU baseball fan is frustrated with the performance of this team this year. Most of us have also come too realize that it is indeed time for Paul to go: retired or fired, hopefully the former.
That said, many of us also understand the reality of where this current team is right now. As disappointing as it is, it does absolutely NO good to continue being salty and expressing that at every opportunity. At this point, it is bigger than Paul and our current record. We want to salvage every little ounce of pride we can. Every win is a step towards a positive future for LSU baseball. They're not moral victories. They actual victories and they will be very valuable for these young guys going forward, with or without Paul Meineiri at the helm.

I think they were cheering because we won the game, not because we didn’t get swept.

the trauma of covid
Every team had this same problem.

I'm with you except for the above. Are "injuries and the trauma of covid" unique to LSU?

We started the weekend with high hopes but after getting behind 16-3 Saturday fans were down in the dumps.
Watching the bats start early in game three and seeing Hilliard provide the pitching to reverse our fortunes fired the fans up. Fans who came out because they love LSU.
Naturally they roared when we fought off another collapse. It was a tense finish.
I salute those fans who came out and spent their time and money supporting their team through thick and thin. You need to shut up.

It’s freaking ARkansas and we are LSU.

I thought a lot of it was just being happy to have a legit crowd, and probably a lot of people that don’t typically get to go. All those kids cutting up in the stands...it looked “normal”, and it’s something to celebrate.

And if we weren't we were licking our chops wanting to play the highest ranked teams possible to beat their arse ..

Or it was a group of people just living in the moment and only caring about the one game and happy LSU pulled it out. instead of constantly looking at the big picture it’s good to just enjoy the moment from time to time.
