Children's Harry Potter book festival event is cancelled over JK Rowling transphobia row after discussions with the LGBTQ community
When are people going to learn to tell these people to get fricked?

You sound like a weak willed pussy. If this doesn't bother you, then you're part of the problem. And it IS a problem.

Bingo

Why is this a bad thing?
A festival celebrating a fictional Witch Society should have never started in the 1st place. Witches and other demonic cults have no place in civilized society, especially celebrated and lauded as being good for kids and family.

I thought she’d already apologized and bent the knee over her comments? Was I just assuming that happened?

Re-read his comment.

I’m old enough to remember the fringe Bible thumpers pushing for the books to be banned because they promoted satanism.
How the tables have turned.

JK Rowling
The backbone on this issue she’s displayed is laudable.
When a person on the right says something “problematic,” they still have the right behind them.
Rowling, who was a hero to leftists, has basically positioned herself all alone in the social media world but has stuck to her take.

I thought she doubled down and released a book where the villain is a male serial killer that dresses as a woman

I mean, she’s made statements essentially “apologizing” for not putting enough diversity in her books. Because they actually resemble British private schools in the 90’s. And then tried to act like Hermoine’s race was never explicitly stated so she totally could’ve been black.

They are not canceling “themselves”; they are canceling JK Rowling.

Todays progressives mirror 1980's religious conservatives.
