Then go help them find their way to that better life "for the children"

Exactly! we have enough here already, like the poster you quoted:

Fixed. No soft-selling, no equivocating. They aren't merely "undocumented", they are here illegally. Any lesser language is an attempt at normalization and then eventual acceptance of such activity.

How bad is it for a single county (let alone multiple) to feel they have to declare states of disaster due to the sheer amount of illegal immigration coming through them?

Can these counties individually fund a large border wall? Are there legal reasons why they can’t?

Answer me this - Why is it too much to ask for those WISHING to enter our country to come in through the front door, sign the book and wait their turn?

Also, why are some so damn insistent that we be forced to take those who break in through the bathroom window and allow them to have free reign over our country ? Even those we KNOW aren't here for lawful purposes.

The current situation at the border has had me so depressed that I can't even read about it Our country is being invaded, and the Democrats are wanting it to happen

worse than the worst of the reported stuff.
Can we actually get some reported stuff?

The judge is quoted as saying:

quote:

residents of Kinney County being assaulted, threatened with violence, and robbed, while also sustaining vast amounts of property damage

Any stats to back that up? The only number I see anywhere is this:

quote:

over 76,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended by Border Patrol in the first two weeks of April — close to the entire month of January’s statistics, based on Customs and Border Protection data. In March, 172,331 immigrants were encountered by Border Patrol — more than 18,000 of which were unaccompanied minors.

Seems like actual crime stats would be just as easy to enumerate - and way more compelling. Why don't they have them?

It's not too much. Put people that daydream here about "shoot to kill" disturb me even more. Illegally entering is a misdemeanor (first offense) - on par with several common misdemeanors that posters here have casually committed their entire lives.

While Abbott has not yet declared a state of emergency in Texas, the governor asked on Monday that county judges send him a “full and accurate” estimate of the financial impact Biden’s border crisis has pushed on their communities, so he can personally bill the federal government, according to The Epoch Times.

That’s an unimpressive response from Abbott

He's seeing if they have real data or if it's just bluster. I assume those local judges are elected - so the incentive to bluster is high.

As a Texas resident I can personally tell you that law-abiding border crossers have cost this state billions in healthcare and education alone.

Don’t believe me? Try your local ER waiting room when you actually have something going badly for you or a loved one and the ER is full of people who all share the same bogus SSN using the ER for primary care. Wonder why a bottle of Tylenol costs $100 in the hospital—- ding ding ding you are paying for their healthcare!

Now lets discuss cartel. MS13. And if someone will blatantly ignore a federal law (misdemeanor or not) what laws do they decide to follow?

Thank you

Couldn’t he just see it in person, or send staff to observe?
