Store is out of my usual chackbay/Louisiana and I don't feel like chasing it down tomorrow morning...so what is everyone's ratio with Cajun Land?

Also how much do you add for 2nd sack of everything?

ETA: I know it's probably been posted before but it's really hard to Google

I haven’t used Cajun Land so I won’t be any help there. Get you two, yes two, 4.5lb packs of louisiana and put both of them in for the first boil. Second boil add 16oz of liquid and half another 4.5lb bag of louisiana.

I use a whole 4lb tub of CL + 16oz La liquid. But I also add 1lb of La powder. Since you said you don't have any La powder, I'd do another 8-12oz of liquid. Second sack I'd add 3/4 of another tub and the leftover liquid from above.

I usually do one check bay + one Cajun land. Usually add some cayenne.

I use one container and a little liquid. It's plenty enough

Thank you Jones, I was actually looking for you to reply...I know you switched to CL after the Louisiana fiasco.

How much do you add for 2nd sack?

Don’t knock it til you try it. I’m using a 100qt pot and get plenty compliments when people come eat. It’s not too salty and the heat really gets into the bugs

I don't have to try it to know 9lbs of seasoning is too much for a sack of crawfish. It's complete overkill. The soak time is the key imo

I'm late to this but I'm very recently switched to CL. 4.5 jar, small bag, whole bottle liquid and the seasoning bag was what I went with in the first batch. Came out great.

80qt pot, 30lb sack. 1/2 container of liquid boil, 1 tub of Cajun land. No salt needed. It’s my favorite seasoning.

I did 2 sacks today for the first time in a while.

Added 8oz of liquid and half a tub of Cajun land. Added more liquid for the soak. It was on point!
