Make flu the golden diagnosis instead of covid and see what happens.

So if a patient did not get a flu test or test negative for the flu then were not diagnosed with covid.

So you are telling me that at all these drive through testing centers, every business, every athlete, were getting tested for flu first than Covid everytime?

Get the frick out of here with this bullshite.

And what does any of that have to do with the transmission from per to person?

CDC is changing PCR testing for “covid”

https://www.cdc.gov/csels/dls/locs/2021/07-21-2021-lab-alert-Changes_CDC_RT-PCR_SARS-CoV-2_Testing_1.html

quote:

Audience: Individuals Performing COVID-19 Testing

Level: Laboratory Alert

After December 31, 2021, CDC will withdraw the request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel, the assay first introduced in February 2020 for detection of SARS-CoV-2 only. CDC is providing this advance notice for clinical laboratories to have adequate time to select and implement one of the many FDA-authorized alternatives.

Visit the FDA website for a list of authorized COVID-19 diagnostic methods. For a summary of the performance of FDA-authorized molecular methods with an FDA reference panel, visit this page.

In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season. Laboratories and testing sites should validate and verify their selected assay within their facility before beginning clinical testing.

So tell us the difference in a typical vaccine and the experimental one being shoved down our throats?

CDC: Number of flu, other virus cases reach 'historic' lows in 2020-21 ByBrian P. Dunleavy

quote:

July 22 (UPI) -- The 2020-21 flu season was the lightest on record since at least 1997, the first year in which cases of the virus were tracked, according to data released Thursday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Well under 1% of more than 1.1 million specimens collected from people experiencing flu-like symptoms tested positive for the seasonal virus, the agency said. In a "typical" flu season, in which an estimated 35 million people are infected with the virus, as many as 25% of specimens tested come back positive, based on historical CDC data.

CDC urges labs to use COVID tests that can differentiate from flu
Caitlin McFall Sat, July 24, 2021, 10:59 PM·1 min rea

quote:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) urged labs this week to stock clinics with kits that can test for both the coronavirus and the flu as the "influenza season" draws near. The CDC said Wednesday it will withdrawal its request for the "Emergency Use Authorization" of real-time diagnostic testing kits, which were used starting in February 2020 to detect signs of the coronavirus, by the end of the year.

My question:

If prior testing could not differentiate with one swab (as implied above), were patients being tested for ALL respiratory sources???

I doubt this was the case. Consider all the pop up covid screening centers and how PCR cycle thresholds were interpreted (misinterpreted...)

And now below...

Technology that created Pfizer COVID shot may soon be used to combat flu

quote:

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Center for Clinical Research has been awarded the opportunity by Pfizer to conduct trials of a bioengineered flu vaccine -- similar to the COVID-19 vaccine. Researchers at the clinic say it could be a game changer when it comes to preventing complications from the flu. Dr. Alpa Patel was chosen as the lead investigator of the Pfizer mRNA flu vaccine trials. She’s a doctor of internal medicine and was previously the sub investigator of both the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 mRNA vaccine studies.

Proof of concept already in place...

It’s not. We’re seeing RSV come back with a biblical vengeance right now..in the summer.

This is a winter virus. We fricked with the natural order of things by not allowing viruses to run through populations like they’re supposed to. I have no idea how the repercussions of that is going to play out long term.

I agree with this. Have seen this as well. Waaaay out of RSV season. Checked records on one admitted with COVID. Swab negative but symptoms consistent with COVID. RSV not done. Mother insisted after calling me. RSV done- positive. Doesn't change treatment but Arkansas has one less COVID admission, or should.

IMO, No one knows shite about what is going on. And that is exactly what the MSM, our government, and the oligarchs want....chaos and turmoil allows them to take control!

Live your life and make your own decisions.....this is still a free country, for now.

CDC to drop 'gold standard' COVID test: PCR risks false positives "The demand for this test has declined," CDC official claims, pointing to other assays.
0:26 / 1:10 By Daniel Payne Updated:July 28, 2021 - 11:09pm

quote:

Nordlund did not respond to followup queries asking if the risk of false positives had motivated the CDC's discontinuance in any way.

Those risks have been acknowledged by multiple prominent public health figures, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical adviser to President Biden and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. In a July 2020 interview on an infectious disease podcast, Fauci warned that the sensitive PCR tests might, if allowed to progress through too many amplification cycles, return a "positive" result when it was actually just detecting "dead nucleotides."

The World Health Organization earlier this year warned in a medical product alert that PCR tests carry with them the risk of "false positives" because the test might only be picking up small fragments of the virus via heavy amplification.

quote:

"[D]isease prevalence alters the predictive value of test results; as disease prevalence decreases, the risk of false positive increases," the alert stated. "This means that the probability that a person who has a positive result (SARS-CoV-2 detected) is truly infected with SARS-CoV-2 decreases as prevalence decreases, irrespective of the claimed specificity."

quote:

Flu is making a comeback in US after an unusual year off
Last year, the U.S. saw unusually light flu activity and the flu season was the lowest on record.

quote:

The U.S. flu season has arrived on schedule after taking a year off, with flu hospitalizations rising and two child deaths reported. Last year's flu season was the lowest on record, likely because COVID-19 measures — school closures, distancing, masks and canceled travel — prevented the spread of influenza, or because the coronavirus somehow pushed aside other viruses.

Works for flu, but not covid…

Somehow….

quote:

During last year's unusually light flu season, one child died. In contrast, 199 children died from flu two years ago, and 144 the year before that.

quote:

“Cover your cough. Wash your hands. Stay home if you’re sick," Brammer said. "If you do get flu, there are antivirals you can talk to your doctor about that can prevent severe illness and help you stay out of the hospital.”

Works for flu
Doesn’t work for Covid until we can patent it, then take your antivirals

PS: you are helpless and your individual general health and strength of your immune system matters little

We are all equal?
All subjugated and controlled = equal…

Nobody is suggesting that there is "confusion" between the two types.
