It might have been a “team loss” but he was the reason the team loss more than anyone else.

He played like crap after the first series or so in the 2nd half, but did you see their defense? LSU put up 628 yards on 7.8 yards per play and 42 points against the #1 defense in the country (and LSU kneeled inside their 10-yard-line to end the game).

That is why I made the comment about the LB getting ejected. It was a combination, but Lawrence didn’t give his defense a break with all those 3 and outs. Man he missed a shite load of throws without pressure. He was thinking that pressure was there and it wasn’t.

Yes, the defense got abused after the first few series. But that statement was only made to downplay how awful Lawrence played. He air mailed plenty of throws and fumbled their last chance away at end. That's relevant to Trevor's evaluation, how the defense played that game isn't relevant in this context.

And Chase dropped an open TD pass in the end zone (1 of like 3 drops in his LSU career) followed by a missed fg. That game wasn't as close as the final score. We dominated more like a 28 point game rather than 17. Nobody beat LSU that year and if we played them 10 times we win 9 because once in while the better team loses in football. It just happens.
