All too often often lately, I'll check the status and find "delivery attempt was made, package held at post office."

Bull. Shiat. The one I got yesterday says, "customer request." Pardon?

I can see the mailbox from where I sit at my desk. I am at this seat pretty much the entire freaking day. No notes. And it's as if the carriers don't know that motion sensing cameras are a thing.

You are lying. Just admit it, you didn't see my package until you were in the next neighborhood. It was late. You were tired. Or high.

Meanwhile... UPS, FedEx, and Prime leave shiat until the wee hours of the night. I guess being impossible to fire and holding a pension mean you don't actually need to worry about performance.

Given the choice, I'd never mail anything of urgency or importance with USPS, I wish others wouldn't as well.

USPS needs to be privatized as far as I’m concerned. Their mgmt needs to be purged as well

Some friends sent us a card by USPS mail. It took 15 days to go less than 10 miles. It didn't have to leave the Parish.

But I also got a USPS priority mail package that went from Oregon to SE Louisiana in 3 days.

Our carrier arrived to our door delivering a package one day this past Winter. She was holding her right side with tears on her cheeks from pain. We advised her to go to the nearest Doc in a Box as it could be appendicitis. She was afraid to do it out of fear of firing (cannot leave a USPS vehicle in a public parking lot and must be clocked out even for emergency medical issues). Exchanged phone numbers so we could be sure she was examined and OK.

She had several kidney stones. Required 3 surgeries to get them all and she had some moderate complications/other issues.

During her recuperation her lazy no-good fellow employees were a week late with Mom's prescription refill delivery and royalty check. So Mom called the carrier. The carrier got out of bed, drove herself to the USPO, searched through the office, and eventually found our stuff on her replacements truck where she retrieved and hand delivered it to us.

Our regular local carrier is awesome. Her co-workers? Not so much.

I used to work for the USPS. I can assure you this is what happens. They likely forgot you had a package and instead of driving back to deliver it, they'll just bring it back to the post office.

I recently put an Oakley & a Movado watch in the mailbox packaged separately for two different destinations. The Oakley was scanned & delivered in 4 days. The Movado was never scanned & is still MIA. The shipping labels were printed 4 minutes apart, put in the mailbox simultaneously but they were grumbling saying only one was scanned/showing in the system. No sheet, that's why I'm filing a claim moron. Theft is virtually an impossibility as I live at the end of a cul-de-sac, respectable neighborhood & a thief woulda taken both packages. Turns out it was substitute driver that day and he had done the same thing to me before. That package was delivered...this one disappeared.

Sorry for rambling, couldn't help myself.

Post Office Stories - whatcha got

A good portion of their workers are lazy, worthless cocksuckers.

My wife ordered something from an antique store in the middle of November that was going to be a Christmas gift for her sister.

It didn't arrive until early January.

It sat in two distributions centers for a combined 44 days.

They used the China Virus as an excuse but fricking junk mail came like it always does.

We were still receiving Georgia runoff ads a full two weeks after the election this year.

They had gotten somewhat better with delivery times after clearing the end of year backlog, but I've noticed the last couple of weeks things are slowing down on arrival times again. Must be time to go ask Pedo Joe for a bailout.

Meanwhile I received something recently via FedEx Ground in 3 days that was originally tabbed as a 10 day shipping time. I was quite pleased.

Our first carrier was great. If we were in the yard, she would say a friendly hello. She knew our dog, and would let him get into the truck to get a milkbone and a good pat on the head. We never had a problem getting our neighbors mail, etc. She got transferred to another route after a few years and ever since then we have had a series of mediocre at best carriers. One fricker drive onto the grass in front of the house, leaving ruts, to deliver a two pound package because he was too lazy to walk thirty feet from the driveway. Another told me "It's not that good" and gave me the dagger eyes when I happened to be outside and said "Good afternoon" to her. Bad day, I guess. Typical stuff like that. As far as inside the local post office, the workers at the Covington branch seem to hate their lives. Every time I walk in there to mail something for work, they look at me as though I just kicked their dog because now they have to push some buttons on a computer and give me some stamps.

Shut the USPS DOWN.....privatize and let Fedex and UPS, others, deliver the mail.....they all come to my house everyday......seems reasonable to me.

Mailed a birthday card to my sister in California. She didn't get it so two weeks later I sent another one. It arrived 4 days later, the first card then arrived about a week after that. Mailed from same place yet one takes 4 days the other about 4 weeks.

Postal delivery. A-hole mailman has left packages:

Under forsythia bush near front gate - I live 400 feet off road, it was a friggin miracle we saw it driving out. Who the hell does this? How long had it been there?

Left a package on top of my pickup truck- It was raining

Propped up against garage door- I have to check now when backing out for packages as I ran over one the first time they did it. They have done this 5 or 6 times.

Received allergy serum in the mail, broken vial. Called post office. They were sorry. Yes they are a sorry outfit.

Have called about all these issues and every time it is a "substitute mailman" and we will take care of this. But they don't.

I have a covered front porch that UPS and FEDex and Amazon Prime have no problem finding. It is as easy to get to as any of the other places where USPS have put my stuff but maybe 8 steps further. My stuff doesn't look like it has been used in a game of dodge ball or soccer either.

Someone stole the key to the outside mail boxes at the local post office, so they taped trash bags over the mailboxes.

That was 5 months ago, the trash bags are still there.

My security camera in the front of my home helped the US Postal Inspector catch the postal lady in my neighborhood STEALING packages.....

She went to a remote location in here truck, (GPS onboard) and scanned 46 packages to make look like they have been delivered!

My video was subpoenaed for the trial. She was found guilty, but not sure what they did to her.

DO NOT TRUST THE USPS!!!!!!!!!

My postal carrier talks about how strongly their union runs the P.O. To the extent the General Mgr. has little to do with the day to day activities of his own office. She also said there are supervisors, who are paid near the top of the pay scale whose only job is to follow mail carriers around on their route, clocking how long it takes to get from a truck to a mail box. This happens 5 times a mth to each carrier. Each Post Office station in cities with populations over 75,000 spent $100 K on security cameras....in the employees'parking lot: to combat employee theft.

My place mid nowhere, had FedEx leave a PC Motherboard under a Holly Tree at the highway end of the driveway, about 90 yards from the house. A week before they had delivered to the bench on the front porch. Before cousin across highway died they had delivered my entire Dell system to him, except for one small box they left on that porch bench. No notice/note the rest was with cousin (different last name, and weird numbering system so his address appears as if a couple miles away, example: me 101, him 863)

There has been a Postal truck parked outside my house for the last week and it has some odd antennas on top of it. I'm sure it's nothing.
