Police were called to the scene and were presented with an opportunity to de-escalate rather than escalate the conflict.

Some ways police could have easily de-escalated.

1. Mounting speakers on police cars that play popular urban music. The police lights could be programmed to sense the beat of the music. Dance party ensues. A good time is had by all.

2. Mount basketball goals on the back of police cars. When police exit the vehicle, they start throwing multiple basketballs to everyone who is within 60 feet of the car. Basketball game ensues. A good game is had by all.

3. Using the police car speaker system, the police officers can pull up reciting slam poetry. The crowd begins to listen to the catchy, rhythmic and relevant piece. A silence falls over the crowd and conflict stops as it is replaced by quiet affirmations of the thoughts expressed. A good time is had by all.

Any other means of de-escalating?

I think you think we think this is funny...

But it's a side effect from thinking too much. It's not funny..

Ok. Maybe a little.

That’s good. A buffet/food truck that responds alongside police cruisers to dangerous situations.

Hey now, he obviously put a lot of effort into it. Take it easy on him.

4. Have taps on the side of police vehicles that pour a quick 40 for the thirsty folks in the community. Nothing spells peace like C-O-L-T-4-5.

Unnecessary and don't want to expose civilian service industry folks to the potential gunfire.

Just outfit tactical response vehicles and/or mobile command center vehicles with kitchen trailers and use trustees.

Good proposal. Can you write that up and see if there’s any grants out there for that?

Give me a few minutes while I touch base with some of my buddies that are ex military and now work as military contractors. I'm sure they can provide some guidance on getting this done.

We could just mount melon cannons on them and let them launch them from a distance...

Pull up with a custom police truck with an entire array of skittles dispensers on the side and a strawberry lemonade dispenser to wash that sweetness down. De-escalate the crowd into a sugar coma.
