Bo Pelini strikes again! Youngstown St. hit with recruiting violations he committed there

Pelini's path of destruction continues, incompetence at its finest. Before he was destroying LSU's defense, it appears Bo was busy racking up recruiting violations at Youngstown State. This POS leaves a dumpster fire wherever he goes. Thank God he's gone.
According to NCAA, Pelini never passed "coaches certification test". Big shocker there.

The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions has announced penalties against Youngstown State University after it was determined that the university failed to monitor its football program. The violations were committed while the program was under the leadership of Bo Pelini as head coach
When Pelini took the DC job at LSU last offseason, Youngstown State discovered that Pelini and two assistant coaches had not yet taken the 2019-20 coaches certification test required for off-campus recruiting activities. As a result, it was deemed that they had impermissible contacts with 16 prospects and conducted impermissible evaluations of two other prospects, by virtue of not taking the test.
Per the release, Pelini and the assistants had received proper communication about their status regarding the test, as it was confirmed that the NCAA had sent reminders to the coaches who had not passed the required certification. The failure to take the test led to the conclusion that Youngstown State failed to monitor the football program.

Did he forget to take certification as a DC too? I don't think I've seen a lazier DC hire in my lifetime. I mean we're talking little league here with the way he called games making 0 adjustments anyone could see.

Seems like another bullshite NCAA rule. You have to be certified to recruit?

Whatever prestige he had in 25 years as a coach before last year all came crashing down in 4 months. What a colossal waste of time and money. frick Bo and his laziness.

So this is the real reason he was fired last season?

And critics here said he didn’t recruit.

Thanks for your continuing obsession with me.

I mean, it's probably not that hard of a test if you look at some coaches that are allowed to recruit.
He probably just saw it as another red tape inconvenience to him even though it probably took an hour to complete online or something. probably more of an ethics type certification than x's and o's cause lord knows he would fail that

I just picture Pelini, retired at his Beachhouse counting his money, pulling off his face that he’s been wearing the last 40 years and just laughing maniacally at the joke he pulled on all of us

IMO, Bo Pelini could be the poster boy of the NCAA. He has as much credibility as the top brass.

It certifies that they know the rules. I can totally see Pelini blowing that off with his attitude.

I mean ... I'm all for crapping on Pelini for what he did as our DC last season. But this seems super ticky tack. He had some coaches start recruiting before they went through all the proper NCAA red tape processes. Yeah, they should have known better, but it's not the worst thing ever.

The dude was not a good DC his first time at LSU with Miles. LSU's great athlete's hid his flaws.
