This is awesome! Thank you.

Checking in. Both kids use a tablet a little bit a day. Both their schools have tablets being used as part of their curriculum any way so they have to know how to use them.

All my kids do are play games that my wife or I load ourselves and most of those are educational. The internet is disabled on it. Kids need to learn how to use technology. Got to start somewhere.

Your kid will be asking how to plug a paper clip into an outlet.

2.0 GPA to 3.3 GPA..only took school days and as he got older only test days

Younger one took it early years, and now only big test days

Was not a fan, but I know my wife and where they got it from

Always a good time when the posters with no kids make sweeping generalizations about parenting techniques.

Yeah, the one thing everyone realizes when they become a parent is that no one knows what the frick they are doing.

Yeah bc their generation is certainly gonna have less technology to use? They should be building forts and making up imaginary friends right? I thought the same thing until I had a kid then I realized, like yourself, I didn’t know shite.

And those kids grow up craving attention and having mommy and daddy issues, eventually blaming their entire generation for all that ails their own.

What if little Billjaminaxon is working on games that improve his reaction and coordination ahead of the travel ball World Series in Destin?

There is a reason tech industry leaders send their kids to low tech high end schools. Tablets aren’t as useful for teaching as low tech. Plus they have nannies to deal with them instead of tablets.

My kid got her first iPad at 4. She prefers to be outside playing and is very athletic. She does her schoolwork on hers.
