Starting Offense:

Johnson: 4-10 60 yards
Backup Offense:

So Max did more with less. Then Max wins. Also, the 35-yard pass called back would have had him at 50% completion (5-10 for 95 yards); Then he got stronger as the game went on.

Not really. I'm not a Brennan fanboy, but Max had Jontre on those two drives and really picked on the true freshman Davis there. Its close

Not necessarily. Brennan did a lot better against the 1st team Defense than Max did. That’s the tale tell to me.

By all measures he didn’t have a good day. He threw into tight windows and forced balls. Didn’t go through progressions. Stared down WR’s. Progressed WR routes into LB/DB on throws.
His INT to Stingley he had Moore wide open on a cross and threw to a triple covered Boutte.
Can he progress and get better? Of course. Did he have a bad day? Yes.

BS! Sure fans have their favorites. When Finley had good games last season, it seemed like 75% of the board were happy for him.
Its the interceptions that did him in. The last one he threw, the receiver had three defenders around him.
The coaches will evaluate the film and make their choice.
No matter, a large percentage of the fans will know its the wrong choice.

It seems like the OL could still work on their blocking assignments and make the defense recognize plays but I know the spring game is mostly to build interest for the fans.
