You don’t get what they’re after. They’re sure as shite not going to nuke Taiwan. No, they just want to take it over and send their leaders and dissidents to concentration camps. Taiwan has prepared for this for decades. Their entire defense is built around missile systems. Those missile systems are defensive and offensive. They include cruise and ICBM technology. In a fight, both sea and air Chinese invasions lose and lose big. But the population centers of China will be threatened as well. In a Taiwan fight to the death.....China cities within range of Taiwan fire power will suffer massive casualties.
And here you thought Taiwan had the capability of 1950 Cuba, 60 miles off shore.
A China invasion will resemble Santa Anna storming the Alamo. He lost far more than the defenders inside. Taiwan loses but China and mainland best be prepared for population and military losses. By the way ...Taiwan uses the Patriot system and has order for the advanced system ...

The USA tried to establish a Western-Friendly South Vietnam in the 1960s and the Vietnamese people allied themselves with the Communist Chinese, murdered and tortured our POWs and kicked us out.
