You could wheel barrow it to the areas that need it, go get a pallet and mail a board across the front. The pull pallet with lawn mower to spread it around. That’s what I did. Worked very well.

If you don't mind me asking, where'd you order it and what did it run? I'm in need of some myself

I feel like this is something you should hand thought about before ordering sand...

It’s a mess when that sand starts to expire.

Of course sand doesn’t expire. But how does he know he needs 9tons. Maybe the operator could have gotten a better rate on the sand.
Now he just has a pile of sand sitting in his yard. I feel like if you care enough about your yard to top dress it, you won’t be happy about a big dead spot from a pile of sand or sand washing all over your driveway if he went that route.
Call me crazy but I’m just pro-efficiency.

Oh come on man that’s pathetic. Get a wheelbarrow and get to work. That’s not that much sand, I just knocked out 8 myself in 3 days.

With all this rain, your 8 yards might be 4, now. So much less to spread! lol

I don't know about where you live, but the Mexicans lounging outside of home depot where I live will take care of that for next to nothing. Treat them nice and they'll even act like they care.
