Congrats to him. While I still find radical religious types crazy, one thing I've started agreeing with them on is porn addiction. If a young man grows up in a family where they don't talk about sex, they will turn to porn, and it has a chance to ruin their chances at an early relationship.

Whenever a porn thread is posted it typically draws the usual "all men watch porn" stereotypes. I believe this to be largely untrue and that these posters often equate masturbation with porn usage. That's certainly not a hard thing to do, they go hand in hand. But I do believe it's important to note the distinction between the two. One is much more harmful than the other. Learning how to separate the two at an early age could be key to defeating pornography.

It's gotten worse too, now that you have a lot of "amateur" types responding back to the people. Reading a couple of those comment chains is what has basically knocked me out of porn entirely.

Funny story...
One time an old buddy of mine had been outside working out and then retired to the bathroom to rub one out. He forgot to unpair his phone from the outdoor speakers he was playing his workout music on. The whole house (kids, wife) and I think even the next door neighbor all heard the moaning and porn sounds from the video he was watching in the bathroom. Dude couldn't figure out where his sound was until he came out and had to answer some awkward questions.

It’s more of a problem where we create an atmosphere where people need reinforcement/validation in online/social communities. There are people who use TD same way as that guy for PH as a form of seeking validation to a group.
