The CIA angle makes sense. It would explain where they got their money, and why they were interested in going to places like North Korea, or Afghanistan.
What makes me very suspicious of the above linked Ukraine video, is the story they're selling.
Americans don't care about Russia, they don't care about Ukraine, and they don't care about a war in the Donbass.
So why is Vice spending 20k or 30k, to send a small team to Russia, to film that story?
True or not, it's designed to create support for US policy in Ukraine.

What do we see in this video? Some kind of person shows the Buryats, who probably served in the Russian army. Well, that we have compulsory military service. All guys who have no contraindications in medicine and are not criminal are required to serve 1 year.

Sometimes unfortunately by napping on stuff like this by the time it reaches our doorstep as an issue it is a lot more of an issue than it had to be. I am all about punting on foreign affair squabbles and such when applicable however you can’t completely bury your head in the sand and hope the problem away if the aggressor is intent on forcing the issue. The more we sit idly by, it does open the door for the ilk who would take a mile by being given an inch.
Now that said, Biden/Libs at the helm policing these matters terrifies the shite out of me!
