if my daughter paid the credit card bill with another credit card in perpetuity, or pulled out loans in order to kick the can down the road, seems like it amounts to the same thing

I feel like I'm talking to myself do you even read my posts? I understand the central thesis I just don't care about growing my wealth in crypto nominated assets I want to grow it in nominal dollar terms because I live and pay taxes in the U.S. and understand I am one of the largest benefactors of the system. If these coins become less volatile, mass adoption happens, and digitization of the economy continues which is a long ways away then great the libertarian/Austrian thinkers' eutopia will be here. Not owning equities is mental when we know the bond market can't collapse. There are other means to achieve exponential returns and you can't remove yourself from the system. I feel like y'all still don't understand that.

The point flew over your head. The Fed has convinced itself for some time that asset price inflation bleeds into the real economy due to the wealth effect. Recent academic research has begun to question that assertion. I disagree with the Fed’s view about the wealth effect, so I don’t know why you’ve concluded my statement was aligning with the Fed position. If anything, there may be some wealth effect associated with real estate, but less, marginal or zero wealth effect associated with stocks. That’s why I asked, “Where’s the evidence?”

the wealth effect is for the boomers -- IRAs and houses and actual assets

The wealth effect is absolutely screwing middle and lower class Millennials and Zoomers who are being crushed by these policies

Inflation expectations die when Congress turns over. The Fed sweating is pretty funny in the meantime though.
