Bruh, that is EXACTLY what I'm doing. I'm in Canyon Country. I'm gonna drive to the Metrolink station in Newhall, take the metrolink train to Union Station, and then hop on the yellow line Metrorail. I've done it before. You DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE into the Rose Bowl. Traffic is the worst for any venue in L.A.. Also, there's a shuttle from downtown Pasadena near the yellow line station that takes you right to the FRONT GATE of the Rose Bowl. DO NOT DRIVE!!!
