Sad part is NYPD is Gonna have a hard time finding individuals like this . Qualified immunity is gone , and all police officers I’d imagine are not doing a thing and or have quit . New York is about to turn into Detroit , and crime will sky rocket.

I mean we all know the answer to that. All I’m saying is the video isn’t very conclusive beyond an Asian person being assaulted by a black person while a train full of people did nothing to break it up. That just strikes me as odd.

How do we know if the suspect didn't first call him something racial? We just don't know. I can't imagine the others heard everything that went down, but IDK.
I still don't think words should justify this type of a beatdown. Especially after he put him to sleep, he still slams his head. That was too much.
I hate to judge others, bc most probably wouldn't do anything.. but there were so many adult men around. They probably should have broken that up. If I was alone I honestly probably wouldn't, but if I had others with me, I definitely would. At the same time it's often not worth getting involved with a crazy person. They could end up killing you. So IDK if I should fault them for not intervening.

Apparently he said “That” in Mandarin and the thug beat the shite out of him for it. Every few months you have some idiot coming on the OT claiming some Chinese people were saying racist slurs around them, but really they’re just using the most common word in their language. I speak Mandarin and it didn’t even occur to me it sounds similar to a racist slur in English until some idiot brought it up.

He said “Naige” which means “That” or “That One” in Mandarin and they often use it in the same way we use “Uhhh” when we’re trying to collect our thoughts on what to actually say. Absolutely fricking ridiculous he was assaulted for that.
