When almost every medical professional is saying to get the vaccine, you really have to wonder the intelligence level of those who refuse to get it. What the frick do they know that the medical professionals don’t? What knowledge have they acquired in their internet research that they would like to enlighten the medical community about?
My MIL is a doctor and she refuses to get it. She is a massive, hilarious conspiracy theorist though
I haven’t gotten it yet but that’s because I’m lazy as shite.

The left penis has a little bit more stamina than the right penis.

Only if you choose to shop there. I’ll spend my money in places that don’t require a mask. I’ll spend even more in places that promote being there without a mask.

People weren’t spreading it before either

No, it was perfectly accurate as is. There is no point in cheering for red tape to cease to exist if you don't trust the product delivered. If you need the full however many years it would have taken before to feel comfortable with the product, the speed to develop the product is completely irrelevant to you.
This is a such a BS argument but whatever. This is all a risk reward. It always has been. The powers that be shut the world down for a virus that was deadly to a relatively small group of people (elderly and 2 co-morbidity folks) That same group of people are very susceptible to a wide variety of diseases. To everyone else, Covid was on the same plane as many other infectious diseases. Could suck to get it but would pull through.
Project warp speed allowed those at risk to get their vaccine w/I a year. Yay Science!

“CDC study finds Pfizer/Moderna vaccines decreased infection (not just symptoms) by 90%. = greatly stops transmission.
*Also* just one dose provided effectiveness of 80%”
EXCITING!!!!!

Had Trump won those same people would be getting the vaccine. The vaccine skepticism started almost as soon as Biden started pushing it.
so.......
quote:
Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday urged Americans to get vaccinated to help curb the Covid-19 pandemic, calling it "safe" and "something that works."
"I would recommend it and I would recommend it to a lot of people that don't want to get it and a lot of those people voted for me, frankly," Trump told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo.
"But again," he continued, "we have our freedoms and we have to live by that and I agree with that also. But it is a great vaccine. It is a safe vaccine and it is something that works."
Who cares if a healthy 0-45 year old doesn't want to get this shot. it's their decision, just like it's their decision to get a flu shot or not. Neither of those two viruses are a threat to that enormous age group. And save me the "but what about spreading it to mee maw". Tell your mee maw to get her shot and we are all good to go.

That’s good to know. So there are no long term effects?

Scheduled my first dose for Wednesday morning. Haven’t been eligible until now. Definitely looking forward to not have to wear a damn mask anymore, hopefully in the near future.

That’s really, really good news.
The words “no shite” come to mind.
It was asinine so called experts were acting like the vaccine wouldn’t stop transmission.

Every doctor I know has taken it so if there is some impending doom down the road associated with the vaccine then we’re all screwed anyway because there will be no one left to treat us.
Was there a choice, or was it get the vaccine or don't come to work?

Exactly.
The deaths in all the under <49 age groups combined total about half of the deaths in the 50-59 age group and 1/4 for the 60-69. So clearly as long as those older are vaccinated then death rates should plummet and hospitalizations too. Those under 50 can simply make a decision as they get older and can see if there's been any long term side effects when the time comes.
My choice to get the shot was simply that I am in the >60 group and while I had little problems defeating it this time, uncertainty over whether re-infections are going to be a thing and how easy it would be to recover next time as I age was a consideration as well as just plain peace of mind for my kids and grandkids to be around us. But ultimately it should be everyone's personal choice.

You mean like the current installed Vice President said she wouldn’t take a Trump vaccine?
