It's hilarious how racist a person would have to be to assume someone can't make it to the dmv, pay 20 dollars, or doesn't know how to get a dmv because they are black.

Could you freaking imagine thinking so little of a group of people?

Probably hard to present an ID because of the fact many AA's are felons and not allowed to vote. Libs and dems are the biggest bitches ever.

So the stance of MLB is that black people are too stupid/incompetent to acquire an ID card, something that is legally required of every person in the US? Interesting take

The really hypocritical part of the Dems is while they say blacks can't get an ID they're fighting for illegal immigrants to get an ID.

Why not take a few hundred million from the 2726363 Trillion we spend on muh stimulus and set up a simple government program by which people can order a birth certificate, SS card and a state or federal-issued photo ID? Boom. Done. No more crying about being too poor to get to a DMV or SS office. No more crying about being too stupid to order a birth certificate online from a state’s vital statistics website. And no more POS libs claiming “poll tax” nonsense.

I mean, either they want to blatantly cheat or they can address the core issue. Pretty sure I know which side they’re on...

There is no functioning adult without some form of ID. They wouldn't be able to drive, fly, get a prescription, buy alcohol or cigarettes, rent or buy a car, get a home or apt.. the list just goes on and on. My favorite is that you couldn't get in the DNC convention without an ID. I don't understand how this is even a debate..

Meanwhile the Biden administration is pushing companies to require a vaccine passport to be allowed on an airplane or at a ball game etc. It would be a smartphone app or you print it if you don't have a smartphone. RE3EEEE what about those without internet access?! This is racist.

Dude, Missouri offered to pay for DL or valid State ID, and that was racist, because if destroyed their agenda. They had nothing to whine about, so doubled down on an ID being rasis

Many of states going to ID's to vote are offering to pay for the state id's. But that doesn't fit the agenda

Of course. When you spend $10 trillion over a years time on stimulus, you can fund voter ID’s and a few billion on a border wall

how difficult could it be to get an ID? it’s pure laziness why anyone wouldn’t...but normal people can’t say that because it could offend someone or be labeled a racist

There is a strong chance they didn’t read the bills.

Because it's the main thing that gets attention. Idiots have been complaining about voter ID for years.

I understand there are other provisions. Perhaps someone can lay out the bullet points.

So they don't want people handing out water? So what? It's once a year. I suppose they don't want any type of influence going on. Maybe they could setup a water fountain and people can just grab their own water? Also, they are closing stuff early or on the weekends? Again, so what? Follow the rules. I don't know what else is in there, but complaining about ID to vote is so absurd.

I don't even have current ID, but there are still ways for me to legally register and vote absentee. And I do.

If people can't afford ID then there should be programs to help them.

My issue is with MLB taking a political stance. I'm sick of sports doing this. Even if it was for something I support, I don't want sports influencing it. That's just more control by the media and others alike.

It will never stop. Moving this game because of politics is so ridiculous. However, at this point, why even care anymore?

Where is the evidence of this happening though when offering food or drinks? For as much as people here seem to hate government overreach, this is a classic example of that.

Voter ID is fine. You should have to prove your identity. Some of the other provisions are very dubious. You could perhaps argue that handing out water is a form of electioneering, but even so, making it a felony? Come on. The biggest thing to me is allowing the state legislature to de facto veto election results by giving it authority to overrule local election boards. That ought to be a red flag no matter which side of the aisle you're on.
