I can't believe you posted this shitty thread. Have to watched the team this season. He has been totally exposed. He is a weak coach. He is over-rated. LSU should have never hired him.

Stats sound vagley familiar to Larry Cocker.

Maybe you can hire him when Les leaves next year.

Managing previously well-disciplined players is not coaching. Archer did it. And like Archer, when said well-coached talent was gone, the real deal was exposed.
what's so hilarious about a comment like this is that it assumes ANY PERSON can just walk into the sec and win as long as there is talent which is a completely ludicrous and absurd notion.

football is not that simple. especially on the level of the sec. there are many, many variables and talent is just one of them.

you're right. lsu won't win another game ever with miles at the helm, nostrodamus

when a coach has his record against other "great" coaches who have just as much talent, then it's impossible to reasonably conclude that he sucks. now, this might change in the future but, for now, it's an idiotic idea.

Miles vs Meyer..2-2..two close wins at home by 4, holding them off late..one rout and one gift-wrapped shoulda-coulda-woulda by double-digits at The Swamp.

Miles vs Richt..0-2..both by double-digits despite one being at home & one in UGA Dome..

Miles vs Saban 1-1..both close games, despite LSU owning the talent edge twice.

Miles vs Tubby 3-1..all close games..LSU more talented all four years..yet all life-and-death..one requires 5 missed FGs..one a bad generous spot by the refs for LSU & then great last-second TD toss..one against LSU by hosejob refs and stubborn HC into 8-in-box all day.

Miles vs Nutt..2-2..Nutt 2-0 in Tigerstadium last 2 yrs..LSU vastly more talent all four years.

Miles vs Fulmer 2-1..all very close games..LSU vastly more talent all three games. Now Tenn with Kiffin and MSU with ?, both will upgrade to younger, better recruiters, possibly both with better Offenses than of late?

Miles vs Brooks..1-1..split home and away vs decent not great Ky teams.

Miles vs Petrino..0-1..despite having 19 outgoing Seniors vs a bunch of leftovers, a Frosh/Soph team minus it's best RB..two OL..and best LB, and a couple of Dicks.

That's a whopping 11-11 ledger vs the SEC's Best HCs & Programs, vs schools that LSU must face to win the West and/or SEC titles, this despite LSU having the talent edge usually, sans the UF/UGA tilts being equal or less in talent, and being during LSU's greatest window of winning ever, with it's greatest talent edges ever over most SEC foes.

P.S. LSU has lost 3 of their last 4 SEC games in TigerStadium.

You can have a fricking chimpanzee trained to stand on the sidelines and act like he is coaching with all of the players that Miles Inherited from Saban. Those records have NOTHING to do with Les. Its all about the players. Get les a Banana Please.

No, we all know the good stats, they are here, bumped, posted in The Advocate, LSUSports.net, etc..

What's not as widely considered, and unknown to many, are these simple convenient head-to-head numbers, which may surprise quite a few LSU fans given the other numbers continually shoved in their face. They are often over-looked given the gaudy overall numbers which include plenty of OOC fluff, and the BCS crown..when was the last prior two L NCAA Champ?

These are the numbers that aren't shown in Manship newspapers, LSUsports.net, etc..But, they are pertinent, as they comprise the Head Coaches and Programs that must be beaten in order to win hardware and sustain excellence. And as shown, these other HCs have held their own, the vast majority while conceding moderate to huge talent edges during the Miles regime.
