Sounds like a great guy. Most likely means he has no chance.

I’m sure this dude is inundated with comments from the black community claiming he is too white on the count of his nuclear family.

Yes he does seem like a good guy.....probably not a chance in hell but I will go out of my way today to give him my vote plus a vote for Claston is a vote against Gravy and the other 2 crooks

A Republican has no chance of winning a district that was specifically shaped to guarantee that a Republican would never win it.

This guy says hello

quote:

Joseph Cao was elected as the first Republican to represent the 2nd congressional district and most of New Orleans in more than a century. Cao was the first Vietnamese-American U.S. Representative elected in the country. He was the only Republican in the 111th Congress to represent a district with a predominantly African-American population. Cao was heavily defeated in 2010 by state representative Cedric Richmond, and the district reverted to its Democratic ways. Richmond defeated nominal Republican challengers in 2012 and 2020, and no Republican even filed from 2014 to 2018.

My mind is still blown that gerrymandering is allowed. Where are gerrymandered districts to elect white Republicans in the San Francisco Bay Area? You are telling me New Orleans and North Baton Rouge require gerrymandering to elect a black Democrat? Isn't BR majority black? Isn't New Orleans?

It’s exactly what a Republican led state legislature wanted.

I casted my vote 15 mins ago in the Algiers courthouse. Polls had been open for an hour. I was the only person who had voted there. It’s going to be low turnout, until Carter knows how many votes she needs to find.
