Woodward made the comments during a nearly hour-long visit with Jim Engster and WRKF, National Public Radio, Baton Rouge. Woodward was asked directly about Orgeron’s appearance last August on Fox News, when Orgeron said “I love President Trump … I think he’s doing a fantastic job.” Woodward said Orgeron’s words were a mistake and that he had informed his football coach as much.

I agree with him in principle, but this will be selectively applied.

Well one side can talk about their politics and is said to be brave and etc for doing so, while the other side is asked not to.

He publicly supports JBE too.
Woodward needs to shut the frick up and do his job. Like how about interview Pellini before hiring him.

Did he support him politically or support his effort to get football back up and running?

The two aren't the same and it's easy to see which one O did, but so many people want to pretend he did something else.

What O did was stupid, pure and simple.

But everybody's gonna spin it for their own selfish motives. So here come the SJWs going on their Liberal Fake News Media Network trying to silence the Right and we won't be silenced.

If he had said that about Bejing Biden he would have gotten an immediate extension, a huge raise and public attaboys.

A football coach supporting a sitting president who was trying to make sure football was played? Was it used as a Re-election tool yes, but I’m sure he would’ve supported a Democrat if they did same.

So Woodward is telling O to shut up and coach? I agree that I don’t really care about the politics of athletes and coaches but I find it hard to believe if O said he loved Joe Biden this wouldn’t be an issue. Also if O was a black coach and Woodward said this he would be fired.

He didn't do that though

And I guess O shouldn't be involved in JBE's masking campaigns then...

While I agree coaches should stay out of politics, this was a harmless comment as O was showing appreciation for the White House invite and Trump pushing for football to be played. Now Woodward is trying to tell Orgeron who he can and can’t support?! What a disappointment this guy has turned out to be...
