Is this place any good? I'm thinking of bringing the lady out there tonight. Do I need reservations?

Yes, it is terrific. Yes, make reservations (at least if you are going to the one downtown).

I went to the one on Airline and Barringer-Foreman for lunch. Pretty good, expect to spend about $15 a person.

, did you get bread only and a salad?

You can't get out of chili's or outback for 15 a person.

On topic, it's a great quaint atmosphere with solid food. It's much more than 15 per person. I'd be willing to bet there isn't an entree for 15 or under, but it works great for a date.

imo, lunch is good. dinner, not so much. don't know why. went last tuesday night, ordered a steak, it was cooked more medium well than medium rare, and looked like it had been cooked in an oven at 250 deg. no sear marks, just a light brown color on the outside.

but the bread is good.

and it's a little more than $15 per person.

$15 a head for LUNCH! We each had an entree and out. I said LUNCH. Plus alcohol, tax and tip of course.

I think the salad I had was about $10.

hate to hear that.....I am a "meat snob" as my wife and her family like to call me.

that being said, last time we went......the waiter gave us the specials....and 1 special was a creole-italian ribeye with crab & some type sauce {I am not a sauce guy w/ my steak}....it was awesome. Being that I dont like a sauce with my steak, I decided to let the Chef give me his special they way he wanted.....and it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Loved it.

The bread was good, as usual.

Granted, I had about a half bottle of red vino down before the meal showed up....but this shouldn't have any relevance...as I do every time I eat a steak.

Maybe mine was exceptional.....and yours was subpar. I will try it again.
