If the weather is nice, go sit outside at the Filling Station and enjoy a margarita.

Sweet wishes looks like it has some yummy cupcakes, but it seems to be in a not so great location and is only open until 5 M-F and from 8-10a.m. on Saturday, so you really can't go there for an after dinner treat.

There is a cupcake shop on Perkins Road called "Sweet Wishes."

Where is it on Perkins? Is it any good?
I agree with the cupcake idea. At one point, there was a story in 225 about a cupcake shop that was going to open in Perkins Rowe. Something must have fallen through because that was a year and a half ago and its still not there.

Cupcakes and ice cream would be a great idea in Perkins Rowe for the foot traffic after dinner and movies.

Mmmmm....cupcakes.

Yes, it is terrific. Yes, make reservations (at least if you are going to the one downtown).
My sister's boyfriend always brings these with him when he visits. They are delicious!! Does anyone know what they have in them? Can you get anything similar in BR?

The Silver Spoon makes a kick arse white chocolate bread pudding.
We sat at the back and the flies were all over. We then moved to the bar in the front and there were even more. I'm not saying they have rotting food, I'm saying they have a shite load of flies all over the restaurant.
After reading this, I wont go back until they fix the problem:

Fruit flies are common in homes, restaurants, supermarkets and wherever else food is allowed to rot and ferment.

Adults are about 1/8 inch long and usually have red eyes. The front portion of the body is tan and the rear portion is black. Fruit flies lay their eggs near the surface of fermenting foods or other moist, organic materials. Upon emerging, the tiny larvae continue to feed near the surface of the fermenting mass. This surface-feeding characteristic of the larvae is significant in that damaged or over-ripened portions of fruits and vegetables can be cut away without having to discard the remainder for fear of retaining any developing larvae. The reproductive potential of fruit flies is enormous; given the opportunity, they will lay about 500 eggs. The entire lifecycle from egg to adult can be completed in about a week.

Fruit flies are especially attracted to ripened fruits and vegetables in the kitchen. But they also will breed in drains, garbage disposals, empty bottles and cans, trash containers, mops and cleaning rags. All that is needed for development is a moist film of fermenting material. Infestations can originate from over-ripened fruits or vegetables that were previously infested and brought into the home. The adults can also fly in from outside through inadequately screened windows and doors.
Fruit flies are primarily nuisance pests. However, they also have the potential to contaminate food with bacteria and other disease-producing organisms.

Went to Reginelli's last night. The whole place has an infestation of fruit flies that made eating there a horrible experience.

The manager did not seem to give a shite even when everyone sitting at the bar was swatting flies from their food and drink. One girl at the bar even poured out her wine because it had a fly in it.

I have eaten there numerous times and the food has always been decent, but they better do something about this quick.

These are smallish flies and they seem to gravitate toward wine and sweet foods.
