And maybe that's why he's gone...UT is a great University, steep in tradition. The Eyes of Texas has been and will ALWAYS be! If you don't like it, geaux somewhere else!

Or maybe someone told him that Texas hasn't put an offensive player in the 1st round since Vince Young

I believe he'll end up there or at OU but we'll see. Can always just do your due diligence.

If you notice on his list of teams that extended offers they show each teams number of wideouts on scholarship and how many are committed this cycle.
It doesn’t feel like it but LSU looks very thin on total wideouts compared to others. Bama has 12 LSU 7. Thought it was interesting the way people feel we have to many.

We have at least 10 or 11 if you are counting the new freshmen about to arrive.

That data is usually way off. Look at QB, says we have 7 or 8 (counting walk-ons, etc).

They make graphics for de-commitments? That's so stupid

He might be the best WR in the country for 2021, and while Texas felt like it led, the early commitment was a big surprise given his profile (kid has over a million followers in tic toc).

He committed soon after the dead period was pushed back again, but now that it looks like visits will start happening in June, he decided that he wanted to take his visits while not being committed

Texas is in this one, but it appears that Bama will be the biggest competition, along with whoever else he visits. If Texas flips Ewers back, then Texas has an even better shot

If you're talking about Stewart, OU isn't much of a threat here. At least not over anyone else not named Texas or Bama. I think it's Texas, Bama, and then a bunch of teams trying to get visits.

Doesnt texas already have their QB for this class, how would Ewers flip back and also be coming in with the guy already committed, or would they be willing to kick Maalik to he curb (I probably would if that meant getting Ewers).

They're still recruiting Ewers hard, and I think he's the only QB they'd take at this point with Maalik already in the class. It's unclear if that'd cause Maalik to decommit.

Thing about Maalik is he's further away from contributing than most highly rated QBs typically are since he's hardly played varsity. He's a big ball of clay ready to be molded, but probably wouldn't be ready to contribute for about three years after getting to campus.

Contrast that with Ewers who'll battle with Casey Thompson and Hudson Card from day one.

If Maalik knows that he's not playing early regardless of where he goes, then maybe Ewers wouldn't scare him off. It's unclear though.

By the way, Texas is in an under the radar good position for Arch, but landing Quinn in the previous class would likely kill those chances

So you're believing Texas has the chance to land two 5* QB's this cycle?

I don't think Maalik will end up a 5*. He'll probably drop in all three rankings in their next round of updates

I'd love to land both though because Ewers probably would transfer out if he can't beat out Card; 5* QBs almost never stick around if they don't win the job by year two
