It ain't the corona they are worried about. It's the fun!

quote:

A portion of Alabama state beach at the Perdido Pass bridge will be closed until further notice to prevent crowds from gathering during spring break, the City of Orange Beach announced Friday.

Mayor Tony Kennon said closing the beach might become an annual occurrence to create “sanctuary city for families” and to “eliminate an MTV destination," according to AL.com.

Are they also closing that island behind Caribe. Tons of boats anchor there on the weekends.

We used to go to OB when I lived in Pensacola to escape the crowds. That place has blown up. If you dont mind green water its great.

So just the little spot mostly under the bridge where kids jump off the concrete support columns for the bridge.

Wow that will do a whole lot

Does Black Spring Break go to Orange Beach?

I had the misfortune to be in Biloxi during it one weekend unknowingly and I was wondering what the frick was going on. Massive traffic and hotel clerks telling us it would be about $300-400 a night.

Yep it’s only a small section under the Perdido Pass bridge. Might be 1/2 an acre of the 34 miles of white Sandy beaches. Just the OB mayor on another power trip. It happens often.

You know how you DON’T get drunk and rambunctious collage age to go somewhere else?

Explicitly tell them they can’t be there.

You’d think they would learn this by now

Guessing banning alcohol on the beach for a few weeks didn’t do the trick
